Starting Monday, June 17, the USA will begin holding hearings on trade, in particular the increased tariffs imposed on Chinese goods.
The hearings are a chance for those in the business community to make their voices heard concerning the impact of the tariffs on goods made in China.
While some retailers and importers have argued vehemently against the tariffs, there are other corporations who have actually joined in President Donald Trump’s call for more protection for U.S. firms with regard to intellectual property, trade protections, and reciprocal tariffs.
The hearings come ahead of the scheduled meeting between President Trump and President Xi of China at the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan, on June 28-29.
